Listening with Heart,
Empowering Transformations to Start
Welcome. I’m glad that you’re here.
Everyone carries a collection of unique stories, some of which may clash with our values or leave us feeling uneasy. Through therapy, I offer you a space where you’re heard and supported, guiding you through life’s challenges with compassion and care, while helping you discover your inner strengths and embrace growth.
Before I became a psychologist, I was simply someone friends turned to when life felt overwhelming. They’d share their stories, and I’d remember the little details — not to judge, but to remind them of who they are when they couldn’t see it themselves. I guess that kind of care still lives at the heart of my work today — and has become the calling of my life.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I provide therapy for adults, teens, and families facing eating disorders, anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and relationship or parenting challenges in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. My style is warm, collaborative, and action-focused.
I see therapy as a space to gently connect the dots — to understand how your past might be shaping your present, to tune into your needs today, and to take meaningful steps forward. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burned out, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to go through it alone.
Let’s start a conversation.
Hello, I’m Dr. Pang.

What to Expect
Starting therapy can feel like stepping into the unknowns, but you won’t be doing this alone.
I’m here to guide you through each step with clarity, warmth, and compassion.
Here’s how we’ll begin:
Step 1:
Free Consultation Call
Let’s start with a complimentary 20-minute phone call. This is a chance to briefly connect, share what’s bringing you in, and see if we’re a good fit. You’ll have space to ask questions and get a sense of what working together may feel like — no pressure, just a first step.
Step 2: Initial Assessment
& Treatment Planning
If we decide to move forward, our first session will be a 120 minute assessment. We’ll explore your current challenges, background, and hopes for therapy. This time is dedicated to gaining a deeper understanding of your experiences so we can collaboratively create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and values. For younger clients, I may involve parents to ensure we’re supporting the whole family system.
Step 3: Ongoing Therapy
& Progress Monitoring
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. As we begin regular sessions, we’ll regularly check in on your progress, make adjustments to your plan, and celebrate your growth. Together, we’ll strengthen your coping tools, uncover new insights, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and aligned with who you truly are.
Healing awaits. Take the first step to unlock a version of yourself that feels content, natural, and free in your own skin.
Frequent Asked Questions
-
I work with adults, children, teens, and families. Many of my clients are struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, perfectionism, parent-child dynamics, cultural identity issues, or major life transitions.
Some are high-achieving individuals who feel stuck and overwhelmed, even while doing everything “right,” they fear that they haven’t done enough. Others are parents looking for support as they raise emotionally healthy children. I also have extensive experience supporting AAPI clients and immigrant families as they navigate the nuanced layers of intergenerational expectations, cultural shifts, and healing from relational trauma.
-
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to tailor care based on your needs, as insurance companies can dictate frequency and duration of your treatment, and may also audit your private record.
However, I can provide a monthly itemized superbill for clients who wish to seek reimbursement from their insurance company. It’s a good idea to contact your insurance provider to learn about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
If you're unsure how to begin, I’m happy to walk you through the process during our free consultation.

I offer secure, online therapy to clients in:
California
Texas
Washington, Nevada, and Florida (via PSYPACT)
Sessions take place via a HIPAA-compliant video platform, offering convenience and flexibility wherever you are. Therapy is available in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and culturally attuned support is at the heart of my work.
-
Each individual therapy session is typically 50 minutes; each family therapy session is typically 60 minutes.
The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and goals — most clients begin with weekly sessions to establish consistency and build momentum. As progress is made, we may adjust the pace to best support your ongoing growth and healing.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in California and Texas, and a certified PSYPACT provider, which allows me to offer online therapy in several other states, including Washington, Nevada, and Florida.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Ph.D. in School Psychology with a focus in Clinical Child Psychology from Texas A&M University. I then completed two years of APA-accredited postdoctoral training at Stanford University School of Medicine. During my time at Stanford, I passed formal language proficiency evaluations and was certified to provide clinical services in both Cantonese and Mandarin. I’m also a Certified Family-Based Treatment (FBT) provider, trained directly by the treatment developer.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings—including medical centers, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, community clinics, and schools. I bring both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to delivering culturally responsive, evidence-based, and person-centered care.
-
My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I blend evidence-based practices (like CBT, ACT, EFFT, FBT, and compassion-focused work) with a deep respect for your lived experience. You’ll find a space that’s not only safe and judgment-free—but one where insight, healing, and meaningful actions can happen.
We’ll work together to gently connect the dots between your past and present, build tools to meet your current needs, and take steps toward a life aligned with your values. If needed, I’ll also coordinate care with your other providers (psychiatrists, dietitians, pediatricians) to ensure you feel supported from all angles.
-
That’s completely okay — starting therapy can feel like a big step. You don’t have to be in crisis or have everything figured out to begin. If you're feeling unsure, we can start with a free 20-minute consultation to explore whether therapy might be helpful for you at this time. You’ll get a sense of what it’s like to talk with me, and we’ll go at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
-
Yes, I offer therapy for children, adolescents, and their families.
With younger children, I may work directly with caregivers through family sessions or parent consultations to support the child’s growth while building emotional safety and skills at home.
With teens, therapy is both developmentally appropriate and respectful of their privacy. I create a space where teens can talk honestly while ensuring parents stay informed in ways that support—not hinder—their child’s progress. I also talk openly about confidentiality, so everyone knows what to expect and where boundaries are.
Depending on the child’s needs, treatment may include individual sessions, family sessions, caregiver support, or collaboration with schools and healthcare providers.
-
Absolutely. Healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum—social support is vital. When appropriate, I welcome loved ones into the process. This may include psychoeducation, parent coaching, or sessions focused on strengthening communication patterns and improving the overall emotional environment.
The goal is not to place blame, but to equip everyone involved with a clearer understanding and shared language to support healing together.
